INSPECTIONS
Have you just discovered you need a NESHAP inspection before your project can begin?
INSPECTIONS at BDN

OSHA
An OSHA asbestos inspection is conducted to identify the presence and condition of asbestos-containing materials in a building or worksite. Inspectors perform a thorough visual assessment and collect representative samples for laboratory analysis. The results determine whether materials are classified as asbestos-containing and evaluate the potential for fiber release and exposure. This information is used to support regulatory compliance and guide safe work practices during daily maintenance activities.

NESHAP
Required by federal law, NESHAP inspections must be performed before renovation and demolition can proceed. And, when hazardous materials are discovered, BDN Industrial Hygiene Consultants has the expertise necessary to navigate the complexity of regulations, all while helping you avoid unexpected delays. With over four decades of experience, we can eliminate the confusion surrounding compliance requirements, timeline impacts, and cost implications. Our proven methodology ensures accurate identification of asbestos-containing materials and minimal disruption to your project’s schedule.

AHERA
The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requires schools to inspect buildings for asbestos-containing materials and assess their condition. Schools must develop and maintain an asbestos management plan that outlines how these materials will be monitored and managed over time. Re-inspections are required every three years, with periodic surveillance conducted every six months to check for changes in condition. AHERA also mandates notification to parents, staff, and building occupants, as well as proper training for personnel involved in asbestos-related activities.
